I'm Allison Carroll Slater

Flute Teacher, Cat / Plant Mom, and Travel Nerd!

I know you're a busy person! You're looking for the short-and-sweet, " TL;DR" (too long, didn't read) version of my bio, I respect that!

So, here's the basic info about me you need to know:

  • I've been playing the flute since 2001
     

  • I earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education (BMus) from the University of Georgia in 2012
     

  • During my time at UGA, I studied flute with the fabulous Angela Jones-Reus!
     

  • I earned a Masters Degree in Music Education from LSU in 2016
     

  • I spent 4 years teaching middle and/or high school band in Georgia
     

  • I've been teaching lessons for YEARS, and simply LOVE helping young flute students develop and grow in their musicality!
